Making the home learning experience positive
Being responsible for your child's learning can be overwhelming, stressful and full of challenges.
I hope that the suggestions below can help make the home learning experience a great one.
* find a routine that works for you and your child
* keep work time limited to 20-25 minutes and then take a break
*have a designated work space- away from distractions
*make learning fun and see the learning in everyday activities
(cooking, doing a puzzle, drawing a picture, going for a walk, playing with a sibling and building with legos are all examples of great learning opportunities)
A "My Learning From Home" portal is available from Manitoba Ed. to provide resources and support to parents, students and caregivers.
